Panorama Downtown Side Federal Hill
This panorama was created for a photography assignment that required stitching together multiple images taken on a tripod. I captured it from the east side of Federal Hill, overlooking the city. The day was naturally overcast, which added a soft, moody atmosphere to the scene. I timed the shots as the sun was beginning to set to enhance the depth and tone of the landscape, allowing the subtle light to bring out the details in the skyline.

I refined the photo in Lightroom and Photoshop to enhance clarity, control reflections, and create a dramatic, high-end presentation suitable for advertising or product display.
Shaded Trail
This photograph captures the quiet atmosphere of a wooded trail, using natural light and subtle contrast to create depth. I emphasized leading lines and texture through refined exposure adjustments, allowing the viewer’s eye to follow the trail deeper into the composition. Enhancing the shadows and highlights brought out detail while preserving the peaceful tone of the scene. This piece demonstrates my ability to use natural environments to communicate emotion and mood through composition, value, and color harmony.
Reflection: This photograph, Shaded Trail, reflects my desire to capture a quiet moment in nature that mirrors my own need for peace and reflection. As I walked the trail, the gentle curve and shifting light immediately drew me in, symbolizing clarity emerging from stillness. I chose this scene because it felt like a visual representation of my internal thought process—moving forward, staying grounded, and finding calm in everyday surroundings. In Lightroom, I refined exposure, contrast, and color balance to enhance the soft, contemplative mood I felt while shooting, using selective masking to highlight areas that guided my emotional response. I waited for softer natural light because I wanted the image to feel gentle and introspective, not harsh or busy. Feedback encouraged me to recover details in the darker areas, which helped strengthen the sense of depth and reveal more of the environment’s quiet beauty. Overall, this project became an expression of mindfulness and intentional observation, crafted with attention to detail and a commitment to presenting the scene in a way that truly reflects how it made me feel in the moment.
